Therapy for Ambitious & Anxious Adults in Los Angeles, California

Therapy and treatment for ambitious and anxious adults in Los Angeles and throughout California whose relationship with success was shaped early.

DOES ANY OF THIS SOUND LIKE YOU?

Your relationship with success didn’t start here, it was shaped early …

⟡ Whether you grew up in an environment where ambition was the norm or came to Los Angeles chasing a different life for yourself - your personal identity has been tied to the idea of success for so long that it's become a core part of who you are and how you see yourself.

⟡ Sometimes, this shows up as a constant need to keep pushing forward, doing more, achieving more, staying in motion, like if you slow down isn’t an option because you might fall behind or miss that once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

⟡ Other times, the pressure might feel heavier, you find yourself overthinking every decision, unsure what step to take next, like the stakes are so high that one wrong move could ruin everything. So you end up feeling stuck or unable to move.

⟡ Throughout everything, your ambition has become your armor. It’s what’s gotten you through and what you rely on to keep going. But it hasn’t come without a cost either. You’ve had to make sacrifices in all areas of your life – relationships, health, parenthood, any part of your life that just doesn’t feel like it’s “productive enough”.

⟡ Maybe you’ve started to wonder if things always have to be this way. But the idea of doing things differently? That doesn’t just feel unfamiliar, it feels risky. Like you might lose your edge, fall behind or even lose the approval and love of the people closest to you

If any of this resonates with you, you’re not the only one. I’ve been there too. Growing up in a high-achieving environment, I used to believe that struggling with this type of pressure was just part of the deal, the price you have to pay to succeed.

But here’s what I’ve learned …

… There’s a way to be driven without feeling like it’s running your entire life!

You don’t have to lose your ambition to feel better or live a more balanced life. The relentless pressure you’ve been carrying, the constant need to keep going, the pull to overthink everything, these patterns didn’t come out of nowhere. When they start to take over, no amount of success can cover up how drained and exhausted you feel on the inside.

What if there was a way to loosen the grip this pattern has on you, without giving up everything you’ve worked so hard for? A way to feel more balanced and fulfilled, while still holding onto the ambition and drive that matter to you.

This is where therapy can be incredibly powerful. As your therapist, my goal isn’t to tell you to slow down but rather offer a space where you can begin to understand how this pattern developed and learn how to relate to it differently. So you can still tap into your ambition when it’s needed but also know when it’s time to shift focus, creating space for the rest of your life to co-exist and thrive alongside it.
