FAQs
-
I provide online therapy to individuals through Zoom or SimplePractice. Each session lasts 50 minutes, and I offer flexible scheduling with weekly, biweekly, and monthly options to suit your needs and goals. Together, we can determine the best frequency for your therapy based on your preferences and progress.
-
I do not currently accept insurance. I can provide a superbill for each session, which you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. I recommend checking with your provider to understand what, if any, reimbursement may be available for out-of-network services.
-
I require a minimum of 24 hours notice for cancellations. If you cancel within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment, you will be charged the full session fee. Each client is allowed two free late cancellations per calendar year. Rescheduling is subject to availability. I strongly believe that consistency is crucial for effective therapy, and this policy helps ensure you have the best chance of meeting your goals.
-
Therapy is confidential, meaning that anything you share during our sessions is kept private. I adhere to professional ethical standards and legal guidelines (such as HIPAA) to protect your personal information. However, there are a few exceptions to confidentiality—for example, if there is a concern that you might harm yourself or someone else, or in cases of suspected abuse, I am legally required to report this information. If you have any questions or concerns about confidentiality, we can discuss them in detail during our sessions.
-
If you ever feel uncomfortable during a therapy session, please know that your feelings are important, and I encourage you to share your concerns with me. Sometimes, feeling uncomfortable is a natural part of change and growth, and it can signal that you’re moving toward new insights and progress. We can discuss what is causing that discomfort and adjust our approach or the session’s focus to better support you. Creating a safe, open, and collaborative space is essential to the therapeutic process, and your well-being is my top priority. Your feedback helps us build a stronger therapeutic relationship and ensures that the work we do together remains both effective and respectful of your needs.
